In 2002, the MLS was still doing three game series – seems strange nowadays, especially since we're so used to aggregate mattering nowadays – and Colorado won the second and third games of the series in order to pull out a win after losing the first game 4-2 at Invesco. Strangely, this would begin a trend of Colorado being able to win at Dallas and Dallas playing very well at Invesco Field.
The history between these two teams hardly matters, but it is there and it is on Colorado's side.
