It's fairly obvious that either Anthony Wallace or Wells Thompson is going to be gone come the expansion draft. Both are higher quality than their fellow unprotected players – unless the Timbers or Whitecaps plan to take a flyer on Claudio Lopez – and it's almost inevitable that since Julien Baudet is gone one of them will be selected to Portland or Vancouver. The other can then be saved – I'm somewhat certain that there will only be one player lost by Colorado in the draft.
