The season went very well for the Rapids and as such four of their players have earned a call to training camp for the US Men's National Team before a set of friendlies. Marvell Wynne, Jeff Larentowicz, Anthony Wallace and Matt Pickens have all gotten the call.

For Larentowicz and Pickens, this could be their first calls from the national team in any context although Pickens has participated in four other camps with them. Pickens career has certainly come into its own since being the backup keeper at Queens Park Rangers, eh?

Wynne's three USMNT caps lead the four players invited with appearances in the 2008 Olympics on his record. He also earned three caps when he was a member of the U-23 squad.

This is probably most satisfying for Wallace. His 40+ total appearances for the U-17 and U-20 teams had almost guaranteed him a spot on the top national team as he grew older until injury and FC Dallas' head brass stymieing his development killed his chances last year. His work with the Rapids has turned his career back on track and there's a good chance that if his development continues like his potential said it would that we may be seeing Wallace around for a lot of USMNT appearances in his future.

Conor Casey once again has been left out of Bob Bradley's plans. It makes you wonder what the hell Casey has to do for the guy before he gets another call – his last one being that fantastic game against Honduras where his brace might have been the catalyst to get the USMNT to the 2010 World Cup.

Congratulations to the big four and hope to see them on the pitch for the US's biggest team!
