(I have continued to have computer problems the last week or so, apologies for the lack of updates and the short preview today.)
This isn't quite a case of two teams going in opposite directions after that first match, but the fortunes have shifted a bit between these two clubs. After starting the year 3-0, Colorado got bit by a serious injury bug which slaughtered their starting line-up and has kept them digging for draws for the last few weeks. The draw-bug has gotten so bad in fact that the Rapids have now set the MLS record for most draws in a row! Portland on the other hand still haven't looked all that good on the road but since the opening of JELD-WAN Field, the Timbers have been almost unbeatable at home in front of the Timbers army.
