Of course, that draw put Colorado against Columbus instead of LA in the playoffs and might have given them the easy route to the MLS Cup finals to play Dallas, but that's another story.

Colorado will be looking to snap both that five game winless streak against their rivals – it will probably be better this season since it's not a clinching final game of the season like it was in 09 – and also get the Rocky Mountain Cup for the first time in four seasons. After losing 1-0 to Salt Lake the first time they met this season, Colorado needs to win by at least two goals in order to get the Rocky Mountain Cup back due to the 'retaining' rules that will keep the Cup in Utah if the aggregate goals are a draw, regardless of away goals.

If Colorado doesn't win their second MLS Cup trophy this season – looking likely with their streaky form, unfortunately – a win over their rivals and getting the RMC back could at the very least give Colorado a shot in the arm in what has been a so far disappointing season.
