Jeff Plush has naturally tried to downplay the problems at the club between Bravo and Smith, calling them 'nuanced', but Gary Smith is a very head-first sort of guy and if he's having a problem with Paul Bravo I'm fairly certain that it's a real problem between the two. It would be a shame to lose Smith, who has slowly begun to carve his legacy as coach onto the Rapids with a style of play that works perfectly with the players that he has brought in.

Of course, his winning the first MLS Cup in Colorado's history doesn't hurt his legacy either. We hope that Bravo and Smith work this out, ideally before that game against Salt Lake. The last thing the Rapids need is a distraction going into the match against their rivals.
