To say that Drew Moor was the best player on the

this season would be an understatement. The prize for team MVP is really only a two man race, but Moor's consistency and ability to always come through in the moments we need him the most pushes him over

for the prize in my mind.

Along with the goal scoring was his incredibly consistent, clean and strong defense from both left back and center back during various injury spats this season. We've kind of come to expect his brilliance at defending at this point, but you can't mention Moor without it.

It's become rather expected at this point that Drew is going to be a guy penciled into the line-ups 10 games in advance. He is seemingly impossible to shake up, he's very rarely injured and his tackling is always so pristine that it's somewhat rare to see him earn a yellow card for himself, though he did draw more than his fair share this season. Drew wasn't able to keep his Ironman award from last year for playing every game on the year, but did set the MLS record for most consecutive league matches with 90 full minutes played before yellow card accumulation forced him to finally miss a game against the Los Angeles Galaxy. In a year full of downs for the Rapids, we at least had that record to look forward to seeing him dominate!
