Although we've been asking the same question every single game for weeks now, this does seem to be the most likely week yet that we'll get a chance to see Macoumba Kandji dress for the Rapids and perhaps play some minutes. Kandji has not seen any time on a pitch for an MLS game since that terrible leg injury he suffered when Ugo Ihemelu collided with him while he shot the ball off of George John.

Kandji had several decent appearances for the Rapids last year, netting himself two assists as well as making a great play to force an own goal in the dying minutes of MLS Cup 2010, the goal that would eventually be the game winner for the Rapids.

Even if Kandji doesn't actually play any minutes on Friday against Columbus, that would still be a fantastic thing to see him on the field in a Rapids uniform, running with the boys during pre-game and maybe coming on as a late sub. I know that the fans at DSGP would be glad to give him some applause if he steps out there.
