It was the second half that provided all the action in this match, from a source we probably could have expected it. Since signing Dutch DP Danny Koevermans, Toronto have received six goals from him and two of them came early on in the second half against Colorado. They both came within the first 15 minutes as well, so Colorado was never able to get much of a rhythm going before finding themselves down quickly 2-0 as the half wore on. The Rapids never seemed to have the wind knocked out of their sails but being down 2-0 on the road is never an easy feat.

Sanna Nyassi provided the lifeline for the Rapids in the 69th as a ball bouncing around the area landed on his foot and he finished. Unfortunately, it was the only goal the Rapids were able to produce as their new-found momentum didn't provide much luck. It may have been all Rapids, but every ball seemed to either go just wide or manage to get cleared off the line – Drew Moor had two shots cleared off the line in the dying minutes in one of the most frustrating ends to a game for the Rapids in some time.

Colorado has now lost their last four games in all competitions and are now in the position of watching other teams performances in order to keep their playoff hopes alive if they can't start winning games now. It would be an understatement to say that their next game against San Jose will be absolutely critical after dropping another three points against a lower level team like Toronto.
