Remember last season's mad slate of games at the start of the year, crammed together to keep the Rapids fresh come their CCL schedule later in the year? As much as it scared us because of the sheer number of games in short periods of time, it was pretty darn fun while it went along having two games seemingly every week.

Now the Rapids are heading into a stretch that is basically the opposite of that, one of the most restful 1.5 month stretches they'll see in quite some time.

Here's the schedule for the rest of May and all of June (Which I totally stole from RapidsThugLife):

That's right, there's more than one 10+ day rest in there along with the 10 day rest they're being given before that May 16th game against DC in the first place. It's not even a particularly hard gang of teams in that May/June stretch, especially with four of the games coming at home.

Colorado is starting the season with some 2011esque injuries, though not quite to that degree yet. It's nice to see that they have a good long chunk of time with few games to heal and rest themselves up. Considering the famous summer swoons that this team always seems to suffer, they can use all the help they can get!
