It's been a good start to the season for the Foxes after good results in their first few games, and have a very good chance at beating the K.C. Athletics FC in the first round of the Cup, being a level above them on the US Soccer Pyramid — the Foxes are in the PDL, while the Athletics are in the USASA, the lowest level on the official pyramid.
The Foxes made the Open Cup tournament last season and won their first ever game in the competition before losing in the second round to the Kitsap Pumas. If they can get past KC, they'll face some very high level competition in Orlando City SC, a team that has made quite a few strides at getting an MLS spot in recent years.
They'll be playing down in Golden at the Colorado School of Mines – not at their home of Shea Stadium like usual – at 7:00 PM Mountain Time if you want to check them out and give the lower level of soccer in our state some support!
