There's been a lot of talk in recent weeks about Italian legend Alessandro Nesta, who plied his trade for AC Milan and the Italian National Team for years upon years and had said a while back that he was interested in Major League Soccer.

You may have noticed, he's not in Major League Soccer right now.

According to an article by Goal.com last night, it looks like he isn't here simply because there wasn't all that much interest in his services from any MLS teams. Even during the short time that speculations were going on, the only things we seemed to see were the Red Bulls saying 'nah' over and over again.

Worst case scenario, Marvell Wynne gets moved back to his natural position of right back, which has also been a revolving door this season. The idea of a Zapata-Nesta-Moor-Wynne back four makes me salivate a little, plus he got injured a lot last year so he'd fit right in!

EDIT: Rapids president Tim Hinchey has wasted no time at all in responding to Nesta questions. Personally I think that paying a bit too much for two years of Nesta would be worth it, but that's why I'm not in charge of the team!
