Yep, only 19 more years before we can drink legally! Considering how this season is going, we're going to need a drink or two around here soon.
Anyway, just over two years ago I started writing Rapids updates for SB Nation Denver and was eventually approached to start writing a Rapids blog for SB Nation. Since I'm very bad at naming things, Burgundy Wave was what I came up with and it just kind of rolled (rafted?) from there.
Just like to give a thank you to everyone who's helped grow BW into the blog it is today. We experienced a ton of growth in the past year, adding six new writers in total. (Thanks to Richard, Virginia, Chris, Bryan, Tim and Brian for hopping on. And Ben for being there since last time around of course.)
We've started to get a bit of a community around here as well — trust me when I say that there was a time around here when I was amazed to see even a single comment every five stories or so. We're starting to grow in the numbers column as well, we recently just passed 1000 stories published on the site and 300 community members along with almost tripling our view counts from the first 365 days we were around.
Here's to another two years (and beyond) of providing Rapids news and analysis, and I hope you'll all still be around at that point talking about the burgundy boys with us!
