The goal that Joseph Nane put into the net against Real Salt Lake was a pretty damn nice goal, as he collected the ball at the edge of the area and snapped it just underneath the crossbar.

Apparently it was good enough to garner a nomination for this week's edition of MLS Goal of the Week. Not bad at all for his first ever MLS strike.

It's probably a literal impossibility to expect Nane to win the field, since it contains two Sounders players and a Timbers player as well, along with a genuine golazo by Felipe from Montreal. Still, it's cool to see that Nane got a shout out in a week where there were so many other great goals to go around.

Honestly, I think he's probably just happy to have taken the three points.
