The 1-0 loss to the Portland Timbers wasn't what anyone would call a great display, but Matt Pickens continued his strong play as he made a handful of saves to keep the Rapids in the game until the bitter end. One of those saves might have been the save of the year for the Rapids.

Franck Songo'o was left wide open in the box in the 45th minute when he received a great ball into the box, and his shot careened off of Drew Moor right toward the back of the net. Somehow, Pickens managed to get his foot to it with a sprawling kick save, and it looked like it might be a miraculous night for the Rapids.

Of course, Portland scored about 30 seconds later, but it was still one of the best saves of the season in MLS. If it doesn't win Save of the Week it will be an absolute travesty.
