Before the 2012 season began, I counted down the Top 10 keys to a successful season. Obviously, the season was anything but successful, so looking back at them is probably not going to be that much fun. Here's No. 2, Omar Cummings.

Didn't quite work out like that. 2011 was an awful season, though he struggled a bit throughout the season with injury. Even then, his numbers were terrible. He had the injury argument, but came into this year relatively healthy and did the same exact gambit. A couple more goals in a batch more appearances, yes, but not exactly an MVP candidate. Worse, he was still suffering from the same 'gotta be the hero' complex that led to him taking terrible shots from 25 yards out, going for hilariously failed backheels and not shooting at all sometimes when he didn't like the angle he was at.

Did I mention that despite having only six goals on the season, he led the team in shots? That 'awful finishing' I've been talking about this year came quite often from Omar's foot.
