I'm going to start by quoting Matt Doyle, who summed up Cascio's season better than I could ever have in his Rapids review:

I don't think anyone expected Cascio, as the 14th overall selection in the draft, to get 1700 minutes of playing time in his first season with the team, including me. And I'm the guy's biggest fan! For a rookie picked mid-round, he certainly didn't play terribly. He had a couple of solid goals, a couple of well-made assists and an energy that a lot of other players seemed to be lacking throughout the season. Even if he frustrated us often with 'nearly there' plays, it was still very fun to watch.

This would work a lot better if Pterodactyls were dinosaurs, but I couldn't find anything better.
