We already got some solid news earlier in the month when we heard that the US Men's National Team would be hosting one of their Hexagonal matches against Costa Rica at Dick's Sporting Goods Park on March 22nd. More good news is on its way for fans of international soccer, as Denver was also named one of the United States' host venues for the 2013 Gold Cup on Wednesday.

This time, the game will be at our larger soccer-ready stadium, Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The former home of the Rapids has hosted many an international match before, most recently having great success with a match between Mexico and New Zealand back on June 1st, 2011.

Obviously, there's no way to know if the USMNT will be having one of their games at Sports Authority Field, but it would certainly fantastic for Denver if we were able to get the Yanks not once, but twice in a calendar year. Of course, because I said that, it's probably going to be Trinidad & Tobago vs. Canada or something.

Even then, there's nothing wrong with a full plate of the international game. That's not something we've been used to around here recently.
