Allstate and former US goalkeeping legend Tony Meola will be in town this weekend for the big USMNT game, and they will be presenting several different events leading up until game time. "Good Hands FC" is one of them, an event that will feature him surprising Future Soccer Academy, acting as a coach for the day and providing them with equipment.
Meola spoke to me about the event, giving me the details. "They'll get soccer balls, jerseys, shin pads, plus tickets to the match Friday," said Meola. "It's a great opportunity to give the kids something that they probably wouldn't be able to get otherwise."
He will also be available at the Allstate Fan Zone outside of Dick's Sporting Goods Park prior to the game on Friday, where he'll be signing autographs. The Allstate Fan Zone will also feature plenty of other activities, and might even involve former player sightings. (There will be a few former players around other places before the game as well.)
