Well, wouldn't you know it? For those of you not keeping tabs on my life — I shudder to think that there could possibly be someone who would — I moved to St. Petersburg about a week ago and have been in a constant shuffle mode ever since.
Unfortunately, that caused me to completely space out on Burgundy Wave's third birthday, which was five days ago on July 11th. And as is our custom, I always like to make a post thanking our readers and writers when we hit an anniversary!
Things have changed quite a lot in the past year, and for the better. Not only are we now in the throes of SB Nation United, but we've also expanded the staff into something much bigger than I ever anticipated. All the new names have been providing some incredibly quality content, stuff that I could never have done on my own for the year-and-a-half that I ran the blog solo.
Last season at some point, we finally were able to break the ever-present 100,000 page-view barrier. It's taken less than a year to boost that up to 300,000, and we're still trending upward! Our modest little Rapids Thugcast has moved to Blog Talk Radio, which I never saw coming. At this time last year, we had just barely broken 1,000 stories posted, and a year later we've added almost 750 more. That's production, my friends!
Thanks to all of our readers for making Burgundy Wave one of the best darn Rapids blogs on this here internet. Here's to three more years!
