Powers was lauded for his calmness, passing ability and attacking intelligence on the ball in the center of the park, and was one of the team leaders in minutes with 2,457. Powers ended the season with five goals and six assists, along with some of the better passing numbers in the league. He was named the team's MVP at the end of the year and it showed why he was when the Rapids dropped 3-0 and 2-0 results to the Whitecaps and Sounders at the end of the year without him.

Congratulations to Dillon, hopefully this award is the start of something big!
