It's a shame too, because the growth that we wanted to see did show up in flashes. He was no longer taking shots on sight. His passing and decisions were normally top notch, and the few set pieces he did take had the quality that we were hoping to see from them. (The fact that he didn't score against Seattle is still a horrible injustice, as that was possibly the most beautiful set-piece shot taken by any Rapid this season.)
If the Rapids sign him to a full deal, and I do think they will if it's at all possible, he'll likely have a much larger part to play in this team in 2014.
