EDIT: Chris Bianchi has said that it is not a full transfer to Houston for Cascio, but just a loan. That makes far more sense if the return is only a single-year of an international slot.

The first player addition of the Oscar Pareja era back in the 2012 SuperDraft, Cascio showed quite a bit of promise in his first season with the team but had an awful sophomore slump in his second. Cascio really only did two notable things during his sophomore season with the Rapids: He had a famous game-winner against Montreal in one of the most fun regular-season games in Rapids history, and he failed to change his password as his twitter account got hacked.

It will be interesting to see how he does with the Dynamo, a team that has a need for some attacking midfielder and forward presence. If he can bump his production up to rookie year levels, he could be an intriguing addition to a Dynamo attack that already features solid players like Brad Davis, Will Bruin and Boniek Garcia.

The tweet up there makes it sound like we'll be seeing something more than just an international spot heading to Colorado, but at this point that's the return we know of. We'll see if any other players or money will be stuck into the deal later on.
