There wasn't all that much flash left on the board in the third and fourth rounds of the MLS SuperDraft, so the Rapids opted to throw some more defenders into the pile when it came time for them to draft in the final two rounds.
In the third round, Colorado opted for Tolani Ibikunle, a central defender from Wake Forest who played alongside second-round selection Jared Watts for a few seasons with the Demon Deacons.
