Oscar Pareja is reportedly out the door, and the guy who would seem to be the logical next man up is likely out the door as well. Ives tweeted on Tuesday evening that Chivas USA was closing in on making Wilmer Cabrera, who was Oscar Pareja's assistant coach for both years of his tenure in Colorado, their new head coach.

The Chivas job has been open for well over a month following Jose Luis Real's announcement that he was going back to Chivas' sister club to be their head coach. Since, very few names have been linked with the open Goats job, with Curt Onalfo being the most notable one other than Cabrera. When talks with him didn't work out, it looks like the Goats threw their heads back West towards us.

Cabrera has had no professional head coaching experience in his career other than some stints with US Men's Youth teams, but Chivas had reportedly had his name on their coaching list from the start, as reports were linking him with the Goats as early as over a month ago.
