When Hendry Thomas joined the Rapids at the end of 2012, he immediately shored up the back half of the lineup and helped them to look a bit less embarrassing defensively down the homestretch. His passing ability and tackling were both instantly the best on the team, and we were expecting to see that transition into 2013. Though he wasn't quite magisterial, Thomas did exactly that in his sophomore season with the Rapids.

The only real complaint that could be levied against Thomas was the fact that his tackling numbers went a bit higher than we expected this season, and he occasionally toed the line of danger a bit too often. That resulted in a few cards and suspensions that were detrimental to the squad.
