As we do every year, through the month of December we'll be doing ratings and reviews of every player who played even a slightly significant amount of minutes for the Colorado Rapids in 2013. We'll start from the goalkeepers and move our way up to the forwards. Today, we'll cover Jaime Castrillon.

Name: Jaime Castrillon

Number: 23

Appearances: 11 (371 minutes)

Stats: 1 goal

Man, how many of these 'guy got injured and missed most of the season' stories are we gonna have here? The answer is 'too many'. In Jaime's case, it was a mysterious knee problem that we only learned the real details of a bit into the season that kept him from stepping in and trying to defend his Golden Boot title in 2013.

In the majority of his appearances, he pulled the same stunt as last season. That is to say, he ghosted through the field and ended up appearing for a shot or three; unlike last year though, he couldn't find the back of the net anywhere near as often. (There was one quite important exception, of course.)

Castrillon is another guy who won't be returning next season, as the evolution of the team has left him without any real spot in the starting XI. The Golden Boot winner from 2012 and the Rocky Mountain Cup-winning goal scorer won't be soon forgotten, though.
