As the season progressed, Brown continued pinging in the occasional goal, but dividing the fanbase as well because of his awful finishing and questionable decision-making with the ball. All of his issues are things that can be taught and coached however, and his pure athletic ability should be enough to keep him a starter going into next year. MLS recognized him as one of the best young talents out there by making him a Rookie of the Year candidate. He came in second to some other guy.

Despite being the highest scorer on the team, Brown's player rating will get bogged down a bit by the fact that he had the potential to do so much more. For every goal he scored, there was a sitter he missed — I recall someone saying of him that a player with a finishing touch would have put in 20 goals with the chances he was provided throughout the year. As long as he continues to grow though, there should be no issues. At the very worst, we've got a flashy sparkplug of a forward on our hands who should continue to contribute for a long, long time.

PLAYER RATING: 5.5

.GIF TO SUM UP HIS SEASON:

Could do with a bit of shooting technique.
