Vancouver Whitecaps vs. Colorado Rapids – Three Keys to the Game
Attack Down The Middle – The Rapids have had a strange syndrome since the first few games of the season where they've seemed to eschew playing their game down the middle – the spine of the team being its greatest strength – and instead focused on getting the ball down the wings and hoping for something to happen inside the six yard box as they lob cross after cross towards the net. Unfortunately, as we've seen the past few games it just hasn't worked out. When it comes to open play, they just rarely seem to get the ball toward the net lately in those situations with their goals coming from angling inward into the eighteen yard box and making the plays happen from there; look at their last goal from open play, the one against the

took the ball around the edge of the box, cut inside and let loose a shot that was rebounded in by
. A prototypical goal for the Rapids offense, and the type of thing that they need to start creating the chances for again.

Colorado earns their keep, earns a road point in Kansas City. 1-1 the final
The six minutes of stoppage time called made little sense but Colorado and Kansas both held their shape fairly well throughout the torrents of extra time. CJ Sapong very nearly stuck a dagger into the Rapids in the 95th minute with a brilliant shot that Matt Pickens needed both a fingertip save and some help from a friendly crossbar bounce to keep out.
MAN OF THE MATCH: Conor Casey. He was dominant all match, scored a wonderful goal and very nearly had a brace on a couple of occasions. He looked so much more confident with Omar Cummings by his side, which can't be understated!

Sporting Kansas City vs. Colorado Rapids – Game Preview
Not the most optimistic time to be a Rapids fan, especially considering that the Rapids played an incredibly hard fought game against Houston only a couple of days ago and pretty much everyone playing today minus Conor Casey will have played that game as well, unless Gary Smith decides to jar up the lineup a bit. I'm not sure that would be a much better idea, since jarring the lineup has given us nothing but pain so far in 2011.
