As we all expected, the Colorado Rapids' season ended with a whimper rather than a scream. They started a rather mediocre-looking line-up against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday night at BC Place, and predictably they provided little in the way of entertainment on their way to a 1-0 loss.

The defense allowed fewer chances than they had in some of the other matches of the winless streak — 14 games now, and we're guaranteed nearly eight months without a Rapids win with the off-season coming — but still couldn't keep the Caps out of the net forever. On the other side of things, the offense hardly created anything other than long shots, none of which found their way past David Ousted.

How little did this game matter to the Rapids? They only dressed 17 people for it. Did I hit 150 words on this recap yet? I'm out of words here. Let's just move on to next year.
