COMMERCE CITY — The Colorado Rapids will be based in a pair of warm-weather cities for its 2025 preseason camps, including one south of the border.

The club released its preseason schedule on Friday, which features five closed-door friendlies against Mexican and MLS opposition spread out across two phases.

Players will convene for a fitness day Saturday, Jan. 11 in Denver before heading down to Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico the following Tuesday, the 14th. The club will be based at altitude (5,970 feet above sea level) through the end of January and will play three games before returning back to the States. Following a pit stop home in Denver for a few days, the second phase of preseason will be from Feb. 5-11 in Palm Beach, Fla., where Colorado will finish out its friendlies against MLS opposition.

Colorado will return to the Centennial State one week to begin preparations for its CONCACAF Champions Cup Round One clash against LAFC (Leg 1 is Feb. 18 at DSGP; Leg 2 is Feb. 25 at LAFC). In-between, Colorado will kickoff the 2025 MLS regular season on Saturday, Feb. 22 at St. Louis City.

In its release, Colorado said it would announce the teams it will face at a later date, but, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to Burgundy Wave that the Rapids will face three teams from Mexico in Querétaro, and then face two MLS sides in Florida, similar to the 2022-2024 preseason camps.

Got all that? Anyways, all dates and kickoff times are subject to change, but, here’s a visual of the schedule as well as a guide & matchday key at the bottom of the calendar.
