COMMERCE CITY – Last Friday, Colorado Rapids confirmed the signing of Orange County SC winger Bryce Jamison. The deal is a three-year contract through 2027 with team options for 2028 and 2029. Jamison will remain with OCSC on loan for the rest of 2025.

The 19-year-old joined the USL Championship side in 2022. Prior to that, he was at the Barcelona Residency Academy in Arizona, which Oliver Larraz spent time at as well. Jamison has been a regular starter in 2023 and 2024. Last year, he recorded 2,186 minutes with 5 goals and 4 assists. Not bad for a teenager. OCSC made the second round of the playoffs, losing to eventual USLC Champions Colorado Springs Switchbacks. He’s been capped 10 times for USYNT U-17s.

This contract is functionally a two-year contract. We’ll see if he continues to progress at Orange County. I would compare this move to Ali Fadal or some of the higher up-side draft picks for the club. Transfermarkt says he has a transfer value of about $500K for what that’s worth. Colorado are taking a chance on a young kid they’ve been interested in for a while with low acquisition cost and potentially a high ceiling.

OCSC has been open about their business and player development model. They want to sell players to MLS and Europe. They are open to selling earlier to put the player in an incrementally better situation on that path. There’s likely a sell-on clause. Wouldn’t be shocked if it was 50%. The transfer fee was probably order of magnitude $200K. A good chunk of change for a USL team. Not a big deal for an MLS team.

Hopefully he balls out in 2025 and can contribute to the first team winger come preseason 2026. We’ll see if he gets more looks with the USMNT setup in the meantime. Jamison will be in the Springs to play against Switchbacks on August 16 for those interested.
