Commerce City, CO – For the first time since 2017, the United States Men’s National Team is coming back to Colorado. U.S. Soccer announced Monday afternoon that the USMNT will play Australia at DICK’s Sporting Goods Park at October 14. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT and will be broadcast on TNT, truTV, HBO Max, Universo, and Peacock.

This is the first time the USMNT will play in Commerce City since June 8, 2017, a 2-0 win in Concacaf Hexagonal against Trinidad & Tobago. The Yanks went on to miss out on qualification on the final day with a 2-1 loss at T&T in the now infamous Couva match. All time, the USMNT are 3-0-0 at DICK’s including the iconic Snow Clasico on March 22, 2013.

The last time the USMNT played in Colorado was the thrilling 2021 Nations League Final. Christian Pulusic scored a penalty and Highlands Ranch native Ethan Horvath later saved a penalty in extra time to beat Mexico in extra time 3-2.

This friendly will take place during the October international break. The USMNT will also play Ecuador at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas on October 10. Presale for tickets will start tomorrow at 10 a.m. MT. Colorado Rapids Season Ticket Members will have access starting Wednesday July 16 at 10 a.m. MT. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday July 18 at 10 a.m. MT.

The U.S. are coming off a glass half something Gold Cup in which they lost to Mexico in the final 2-1 without their starters. We’ll see what type of team Mauricio Pochettino calls up, hopefully a full strength first team. This will be the third to last international window before June 1, 2026, the start of the window that precedes the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Given there is a match in Colorado, we will see if Zack Steffen gets called up and a start. Maybe Djordje Mihailović makes it as one of the last guys on the bench.
