Denver, Colo. – Burgundy Wave has partnered up with Fantasy Utd to bring a better fantasy soccer experience for American Soccer sickos.
A few weeks ago, Graham Ruthven (Total Soccer Show, The Guardian, etc.) reached out. Fantasy Utd is set to launch in time for the 2026 MLS regular season. Their mission is build a newer and better platform for fantasy soccer. The app is now available to download in the App Store and Google Play store.
They did some market research. A large percentage of American soccer fans want a better, more in-depth fantasy soccer experience. We here at Burgundy Wave like the MLS Fantasy game, but it has its flaws. Fantasy Utd is trying to be a mix of FPL, Football Manager, and the traditional format for American fantasy sports games. They’ve worked to develop FUTD over the last year with lats of beta testing.
You build a squad of players over the season. You bid against other managers in your league or Fanzone for players and pick your best XI for H2H fixtures.
They’re setting up public leagues, or Fanzones, with popular outlets throughout MLS. They reached out and we said “hell yeah.”
FUTD’s Burgundy Wave Fanzone is now live. Join through the link below or through the home page of the app. There are other more general Fanzones for some of your favorite soccer outlets, websites, and podcasts. They don’t have one for any Real Salt Lake fans yet, another plus. BW will still be setting up leagues on MLS Fantasy when the league restarts that for the season.
