Pia Sundhage's swan song with the US Women was a fantastic display by the ladies, though it started off quite a bit more tense than I'm sure she would have liked. It was all-USA for the first 10 minutes of action or so, but despite their best efforts at putting in a goal, everything seemed…

Yeah, I know. I didn't want to talk about this game anymore, either. It was no fun watching the Rapids drop a 2-0 game against the Galaxy despite having one of the more inspired offensive performances we've seen in a while. It was the same old problems we've been seeing for a while, though. The…

Then again, those two games came against the Timbers, one of the worst teams in the league, right in the basement with Colorado. Their midfield could probably get beat up by some of the sturdier holding midfielders in the NASL. Surely, he couldn't keep up that sort of passing accuracy up against a team with…

Immediately prior to the start of the game between the Rapids and LA Galaxy on Friday night, the Rapids made an out-of-nowhere player announcement. It wasn't exactly a game changer, as they added to their defensive depth with the pick up of young defender Chris Klute. Klute has been with the Atlanta Silverbacks of the…

But wait, Oscar Pareja has a big decision to make on this one. Personally, I wouldn't call a duo that's putting up less than a point every three games the best striker pairing in the league anymore. That's on a combined 84 shots as well! What I'm getting at is that playing those two just…

It's very unlikely that they'll be able to catch up to LA even if they win out the rest of their games, but the only chance they'll have is if they can beat LA twice in their final few games. The harder task will likely be the game at the HDC, but can the Rapids…
