We'll see if either of the Rapids players take home the silverware on November 25th. (Even if they don't win, we can still laugh at the awards a bit. Baldomero Toledo is up for Referee of the Year. No, really!)

O'Neill was part of a resurgent Rapids back four this season that nearly set defensive records for the team. The other nominees for the award:

Shaquell Moore, a young right back who is currently working his way through the United States system, most recently playing as the US U-18 captain.

You can vote for O'Neill here at the US Soccer official website.

Will Colorado need a new goalkeeper? It's likely by that point, and they can grab a Zac Macmath type of guy without the need for him to start immediately. Colorado wants another field player? They can have their pick, and they'll likely be no higher than third on the depth chart right away.

Remember, these aren't bad problems to have.

Good news, everyone. If you're either #TeamDillon or #TeamDeshorn, you're not going to have to worry about that when you take a look at SB Nation's Rookie of the Year poll. Instead of one winner appearing outright from the dynamic duo, the vote ended up being split between the two, so they are simply sharing the SBN version of the award.

Though I'm still fairly convinced that Powers is going to be taking home the actual award at the end of the day, it's nice to see that the other authors around the network are high on both of our young prospects.

Yep, this post was inevitable. The fact that I was able to slip it in as my Signing Spree post just makes it that bit more exciting (read: easy) for me. (That, and if I did a Freddy Adu one of these I'd probably get slapped. Not that I would, but it'd be funny!)

It would also be funny to hear him try and talk up Rapids fans after telling us collectively to 'shut the fuck up' a while back, eh?

MLS put out a look at the most accurate passers in the league today, and it's to the surprise of nobody that Colorado's main midfield trio were all represented in the Top 50. The three Rapids in the list and their passing accuracy percentages were:

Former future Rapids legend Jimmy Maurer did not start in goal for the Cosmos, but did earn a win over the Silverbacks in a preview of the title match that the two teams played on November 2nd. It's good to see him doing well after having that superb pre-season match for the Rapids that wrote him into Burgundy Wave lore for years to come.

Congratulations to our former Burgundy boys out in New York!
