What more can be said about that Dallas game? I already made the analogy to the origami swan when I said that the team folds whenever adversity comes their way, but honestly looking at things the Dallas match was just another 2012 Rapids game.

The Rapids had the possession and the chances, but they snatched at their chances a bit and it ended up costing them in the end as Dallas were able to nick a goal off a set piece and take the winner soon after. This Rapids team is just not that good at playing against a team who can score at their pace, which is unfortunate. All in all though, this is going to be another one of those player ratings where the Rapids get pretty decent points overall even though they lost.

Ah, well. Moving on to the rankings…

Scoring Guide

0 – Awful, horrible, why is he even on the field!?

1-3 – Poor. Why is he starting?

4-6 – Decent. Played a reasonable game, but could have done much more.

7-9 – Great game! Did nearly everything right with few mistakes

10 – Perfect game.

SUBS

Tony Cascio – 6

Cascio provided instant energy and ability into the lineup when he was subbed in. I'm of the mind that he should be starting despite what worries Oscar Pareja has about his fitness. Until he proves he can't play 90 minutes, keep him in there — his energy and talent on the wing are far too valuable to keep as a super-sub all match.

Edu – 3

Ugh. There's nothing left to be said about Edu, he's been simply awful ever since he joined the team. If there is a mistake that has been made by Oscar Pareja so far, it's his over-use of the ineffective Edu. Sadly, there's nothing to make us think that anything will change in the future with his lack of size and speed — the two biggest needs for MLS strikers.
