Commerce City– It took extra time and penalties to separate the Colorado Rapids and Colorado Springs Switchbacks. After scoring one a piece in normal time, both sides got another in extra time to make it 2-2 after 120 minutes. Alexis Manyoma got the goal in normal time, and Georgi Minoungou looked to get the winner in extra time before a late penalty goal forced penalties. The Rapids are through to the Quarterfinals of the US Open Cup for the first time since 2006. Here are the best photos from the crazy night.
